Bellevue Little Theatre update

The Bellevue Little Theater (BLT) does not charge a commission for sales. All sales are made between the artist and the buyer—

so leave some of your cards with your display work. You are responsible for insurance (if needed) for your art work. The BLT is not responsible for loss or damage to your art work. When choosing art work for display, remember it will be seen by the general public—including young children.

The theater is open around 7 p.m. on final rehearsal week. In the daytime—before 5 p.m., the key is kept in the Class Act Thrift Shop next door to the theater. The phone number for both places is 291-1554. Please hang your art work before opening night.

Take down your art work after the last performance, usually a Sunday afternoon.

You will receive two complimentary tickets for your show. You need to make reservations for the performance—tell the box office that you are an artist when you make your reservation. The tickets should be waiting for you at the desk.

September Program

Our vice President team of Madeline Rose and Marge Boska have done a fine job planning interesting programs for the newBAA year. September brings to us, Maxine Burton and her expertise on the creation of unique book covers, including “purse books”. The presenter will be Maxine Burton, a teacher of art in many forms, a professional artist who was born and raised in Burmuda, and eventually marrying a military man.

Maxine and her husband have settled in Buccaneer Bay, Plattsmouth. Come and Welcome Maxine Burton to the September meeting.

Events: Lied Activity Center

The Lied Activity Center is a community activity center operated by the Bellevue Public Schools.  The Bellevue Public Schools has extended an  opportunity for The Bellevue Artist Association to hang art work for display around the walking track.  This is an chance for the BAA to have an additional local place to display work.  We are now still able to put information by each piece of work.

When you enter the center, there is a BAA red notebook located at the desk.  In this, you will find a hold harmless form and get the tags to hang by each piece. Sign the hold harmless form and place it back in the notebook and take the tags you need for your pieces.  This is the only tag we can hang with.   The tag has : Title of work, Artist, Phone Number and BAA already printed.
